THIS WEEKENDS ACTIVITY

We are at REDBANK FARM on saturday giving out leaflets and showing off some of our birds in the run up to opening, maybe the odd chance to see some birds flying? Sunday we are at Haydock Park Race course raising funds for Willowbrook Hospice and The North West Air Ambulance, so get  down and meet santa and his reihndeers, cartoon caracters and muuch more.

Aviaries nearly complete

3 more aviaries going in tomoro getting close to opening, got some snowy owls coming nearer xmas. Our list of services should be up and running by Jan 2011

RED BANK RAPTORS

The first of our birds are going in the aviaries at the farm tomoro,  hopefully they settle in quickly and we have babies next year?!?!

WILSON OUR 20 WEEK OLD HARRIS

Well after only a few weeks of training wilson is now riding the thermals and waiting on nicely, he follows on well and moves really fast.
We have had 2 Harris given to us this week the female is a lovely bird, small but aggile, the male unfortunatly is disabled after flying into barbed wire a few seasons ago. He has a brilliant temprament and is a big big boy, so we are looking for a big big girl to pair up with him.
We are getting the birds ready for moving house hopfully end of next week??

Centre opening in November!!!

Our new Harris is hunting after only a week and a half of training, already he is flying through human tunnels!!!
The centre is now under construction and should be open at the end of November!!
Two new wedding videos are also imminent!!! WATCH THIS SPACE

Exiting!!!

Spent the last few days, flying the birds (Fifi free), Coco nearly there and Sid doing well now too.
 We have an inspection tomoro so busy cleaning and tidying.
lots of planning going on at the moment too with the centre, aviary planning going well and looking at lots of new birds to fill them.
Hoping for a few breeding pairs, including Great greys to help wth income over the next few years.

Hawksrus centre!!

Our new famlly run centre open to the public will be at Red Bank Farm, Newton le willows.  Hopefully opening before christmas!!

Finally we have a site agreed for our little centre, its at Red Bank Farm, winwick road, Newton le Willows. Hopefully be open before xmas 2010!!

This saturdays wedding is being featured in the local papers!!! Wedding at warrington town hall 3pm

Bury Conservation society

Unfortunatly the weather was against us yesterday, but all had a good day non the less!!!

No flying!!

Unfortunatly the weather has been to bad over the last few  days so the birds have not been flown, big display on Sunday so need to get them outthere soon!!

Young birds where hard work yesterday, blustery winds didnt help, Coco at 1 lb 10oz needs a little off yet, getting the birds ready for the big display this Sunday.

All our young trainee birds  have done fantastic today, Fifi almost ready to free fly!!!

Sid the baby  Snowy Owl jumped to the fist today all be it very clumserly!!

Weddings

I am pleased to anounce we have now completed 20 weddings this year (our first year) all have been spectacular, 2 being outdoor one to a balcony in the royal Holloway Uni which was stunning!!

Also I will keep you up to ate with the training of Sid, Fifi, Fflint an the gang!
